CHURCH ADMINISTRATOR

 

 

Overview:

 

Responsible for coordinating the business and administrative affairs of Government Street Baptist Church (GSBC), Child Development Center (CDC) and Government Street Christian School (GSCS).  Provides leadership, supervision and support to ministry staff personnel.  Manage church office and volunteer support staff. Priority will be given to communications, technology, and facility management.

Relationships:

Reports to Senior Pastor.  Works with the ministry staff to provide support.  Supervises church office and custodial staff.  Attends meetings of committees and groups related to ministry assignments. Assists the Child Development Center director and Christian School principal as needed.

Responsibilities:

Office Management:  Responsible for the overall functioning of the Church Office.

 

Answers questions and provides information about church programs.
Coordinates volunteers for office support.
Maintains the supply inventory on a cost-conscious basis.

Monitors all ministry budgets.
Develops and implements efficient office procedures to meet demands.
Develops and implements procedures to maintain church records in electronic and hard copy formats with emphasis given to easy retrieval of information.
Oversees inventory and maintenance of all equipment.
Analyzes purchase needs, obtains bids, and prepares proposals.

Administrative Support:  Provides support to Church, CDC, and School staff

Supports and works with church ministries to ensure material and people resources are available to complete projects on time and with a professional outcome.
Assists in the preparation of the monthly and annual church reports.

Personnel:  Responsible for managing of personnel needs and records.

Oversees the management of all personnel records of all church ministries.
Assists as needed all ministries with new hires with paperwork, resources, training, and acquaintance to church policy and procedures.

Communications:  Responsible for facilitating overall church communications.

Coordinates information among all staff, committees, and other entities to insure clarity.
Proof-reads and edits communications; determines presentation, acquires designs and graphics as necessary.
